Clinical overview

Understanding Donor-Assisted Care

When ovarian reserve is severely depleted, or in cases of non-obstructive azoospermia or significant genetic conditions, donor-assisted reproduction offers a compassionate, scientifically sound pathway to parenthood. At Mysuru Fertility Centre, all donor programmes strictly comply with the National ART Act 2021, using registered, screened government ART banks.

Is this pathway likely to be relevant for you?

Situations in which a specialist may suggest discussing this treatment:

  • Women with premature ovarian failure (POF), or very low AMH with previous repeated IVF failures
  • Advanced maternal age where chromosomal aneuploidy rates are elevated
This list is not a diagnosis. Whether Donor-Assisted Care is right for you depends on your own test results and history.

Donor oocytes are fertilised with partner sperm via ICSI and cultured to the blastocyst stage.

  4. Recipient transfer

The selected blastocyst is transferred into the primed maternal uterus.
